I made this little fucker in Illustrator a last quarter. Gusto mo ka ng Jollibee? Mmm ahh, mmm ahh ahhhhh! (Who’s with me and remembers the old school Jollibee song?) Actually, I just used it for a Pinoy ng Central poster for the quarter. Simple to the point – it’s gonna catch a Filipino’s eye (without using the cliche red, white, yellow, blue, a big sun or three stars). And that’s all I need it to do.
Just browsing my old files, trying to clean up before the quarter’s work piles up on top of me like a heap of hot shit…
I played around with Illustrator last summer before I even knew what it was good for. Came up with this son of a gun, probably for future use of Anakbayan’s EYE program and what not. It ended up not being used and surprisingly the Philippine Student Association of Texas A&M University contacted me to commision it for their organization. Happily, I accepted – anything to get my work out there! Check out their site here. (For the record, I didn’t design this website. =) Just provided the background graphic.)
