Logo I created for Gabriela USA’s national campaign, iVOW.
Across the United States, in New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles, Filipino women launched a nationwidecampaign to fight violence against women. The campaign, spearheaded by GABRIELA USA, is called Voices of Women versus Violence Against Women or iVOW. Member organizations of GABRIELA USA have already begun to host educational workshops on violence against women and calling for individuals to take a vow to fight women’s oppression and all forms of violence committed against them. The iVOW campaign is a comprehensive campaign that addresses issues such as sex trafficking and prostitution, domestic violence, rape, incest, sexual abuse, sexual harassment, sexual discrimination and exploitation, limited access to reproductive health care, and violence as a result of political repression.
To learn more about the iVOW campaign, community members are encouraged to attend local events in New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles. The campaign will continue with events throughout March, withcommemorations of International Women’s Day (March 8th). Please contact gabrielawomen@gmail.com for further details.
